Marks & Spencer opens Simply Food store at Moto's Cherwell Valley Service Area
11 November 2004
Marks & Spencer and Moto opened the doors to a new Simply Food store today at Moto's Cherwell Valley Service Area, close to Junction 10 on the M40, Oxfordshire.
The 2,000 sq ft store is only the second motorway service area to bring the Marks & Spencer Simply Food offer to motorists. The new store will give motorway users the opportunity to stop off en route to pick up quality food products, including ready meals, fresh produce, sandwiches salads, snacks and fresh flowers.
Moto and Marks & Spencer launched the first Simply Food motorway store at Moto's Toddington service area in August 2003 and the new Cherwell Valley store opens as a result of Toddington's success.
Brian Lotts, Moto's Managing Director, said: "We're constantly looking at ways to increase the choice available to motorists who use motorway service areas. As well as increasing variety, the Marks & Spencer Simply Food offering is the perfect solution for busy commuters who need to top up their weekly shop on their way home."
Paul Horwell, Simply Food Franchise Manager, said: "We are pleased to bring the successful Simply Food concept to Cherwell Valley. Feedback from motorists has been excellent since the Marks & Spencer Simply Food format was introduced to Toddington Service Area last year and we are sure that this will be echoed at Cherwell Valley."
The new store will be open from 8am-10pm Sunday to Friday and 8am-8pm on Saturdays.
